Kirtimukh is the face above the threshold. It keeps negativity out. That is what it has been put up for, on doors and gates and temple lintels, for centuries. Ours is for the main door, the shop shutter or the gate. Twelve centimetres across, hangs flat, mounts with a hook strip so renters are not drilling anything. Filmed on a real door with a hand in frame so you can see the size before it arrives.

THE SIZE QUESTION, ANSWERED FIRST: The single most common surprise on delivery in this category is size. A close-up makes a palm-sized piece look like a shield. So we shot it beside a phone, an A4 sheet and a door frame.

“What size is it? The photo does not tell me.”
Twelve centimetres by eleven. We show it beside a phone, an A4 sheet and a door frame rather than asking you to guess from a close-up. If it arrives smaller than you pictured, that is on our photography and we take it back.
“This is available outside the mandir for two hundred rupees.”
It is. That one is printed tin with a paper face. This is hand-finished with a moulded face, glass eyes and silk tassels, and it does not fade in the sun within a season. If that difference is not worth it to you, the roadside one is genuinely fine.
“How does it go on the door? Do I need to drill?”
No drill. A hook strip is in the box, and a thread loop for renters and for vehicles. Thirty seconds, one person.

Does it survive outdoors?
Yes, under an overhang or a shutter. In direct rain year-round the tassels will fade, the face will not.
When should I put it up?
A Tuesday or a Saturday, and griha pravesh day for a new home. Those are the days the tradition names. It names them, it does not bar the others.
Can I mix designs in the set of three?
No. Each set of three is a fixed trio, shipped as listed on its own page.
