Number 7 and Ketu

Where it comes from

Stones come in as rough, are cut and tumbled round, then sorted by tone so one strand reads evenly end to end. The centrepiece is seated by hand between two gold spacers and turns on the strand, so you choose which face sits on top. Chipped beads are pulled before stringing, and each bracelet is checked against its gemmological report, which ships behind a QR code printed into the packaging.

HOW THE NUMBER WORKS

Your moolank comes from one number: the day you were born

Not the month, not the year. Only the date of the month. Add its digits until one digit is left.

Only the day of the month you were born on. Born on the 28th of any month, you start with 28.

Add the digits

28 becomes 2 + 8 = 10, and 10 becomes 1 + 0 = 1. One digit is left. That digit is your moolank.

Add the digits of the date of the month you were born on until one digit is left. Born on the 16th: 1 plus 6 is 7. Moolank 7 covers 7, 16 and 25.
